Description:
This particular sunset with the fluffy cloud formations is both colorful and energetic. I love the sunsets here in the blue ridge. The mountain backdrop provides a constantly changing array of colors and textures. The paint on this impasto painting is thick and the brushwork creates a complicated surface pattern. The paint was initially put down in thin layers and then built up to a thick surface. The atmopheric effect is both colorful and peaceful to the eye. “Mushroom Clouds" is an oil painting on masonite and is framed in a silver colored metal frame. Buyer has the option of taking the painting without the frame and taking $25.00 off of the price. I have my masonite cut at a lumber yard and I always remind them that the cut has to be perfect. This time they slipped up a little and I didn’t catch it before I started painting. The painting is slightly small and if the buyer is not careful it can come out at the top of the frame. It should be professionally framed but can be displayed as is.
