My Southwestern Landscape Work In Progress
Painting - Acrylics On Large Canvas
This is a painting which I have been attempting to complete for months and months.
I keep going back to change or add something.
I am doing this from my mind's eye.
Therefore, I think that is the problem (if there is one).
I did not have a reference to look at for this four ft. long and 3 feet high painting on canvas.
NOTE: you cannot see all of it here. This is only a partial view..
Sure, I have plenty of books of Southwestern images, but for some reason I simply (?) wanted to paint this "alone" withough references.
Perhaps TODAY IS THE BIG DAY which I complete this painting and have it prepared for display and sale.
I think of a comparison with giving up a *child* .
One does not want to let go. One wants to keep it and never relinquish baby out to the world. Yet we must let go if we wish to share our birthings. Then we are free and the child of our mind is free.
Then we are free to create a new child of the mind.
I am not attempting to be overly profound here Am simply stating my stream of conciousness taking place at this moment.
