Nafplio And Argolic Gulf
Nafplio is a city on the Argolic Gulf in the northeastern portion of the Peloponnese in Greece. It is on a peninsula that juts out into the gulf and is surrounded by beautiful blue water. Acronauplia (or Acronafplia) is the old part of town that is mainly on the peninsula. There are very old fortifications out on Acronafplia.
The old part of Nafplio can be seen in this photo below the ruins on the Acronauplia. Just off shore is the castle of Bourtzi.
