Native American Turtle Medicine Bag Leather Pouch

The Turtle represents many things. Most common is long healthy life, strong healthy heart, Turtle Island (North America) and Mother Earth. Hand painted with permanent ink on soft tan colored leather. Measures 1.75” wide by 2.50 “ long. Glass beads have been added as extra strength stoppers on the neck cord. This medicine bag has been made to last and will protect it’s contents. It is appropriate for both men or women. Neck cord is extra long.
The artist Paula Bidwell is an Indigenous Healer and while making these medicine bags uses prayer and song to infuse them with healing. The prayer is for well-being, protection and good health of the recipient. When an order comes in she looks over the premade bags until one stands out. If one doesn’t stand out, she makes a new one especially for the buyer. And there is always a slight variance in design.
