Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) At the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, on the way to Bright Angel Point I stopped to gaze at this. In 1869, during his exploration of the Colorado River, near this area at the bottom, Major John Wesley Powell discovered a small creek of crystal clear water, glistening in the sun. He named it The Bright Angel, and that is why this pathway leads to Bright Angel Point. Here, I found this small opening that provides a beautiful view of the canyon and a distant horizon. The frame made by the rocks and trees, made me feel as if I were looking through ...Nature's Window.
