Description:

North Carolina has been under severe drought conditions since spring of 2007. As a result, we have lost a lot of our forests and land to wildfires. Fortunately, the drought is lessening this spring as we continue to have substantial rainfall. The fire and ground are painted with fabric dye. The trees are threadpainted with several different colors of thread. The fires are several fabrics overlapped and stitched with bright rayon threads.
