Description:

The Cog Railway of New Hampshire is a truly unique way to reach the summit of Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast. The engines, using a design that has changed little since 1869, climb very steeply up the barren slopes; thus the odd angle of the boiler on the engine. This painting is done from the viewpoint near the summit at the visitor station.
