NEW Photographic Art Print For Sale: Bradbury Building 12, Downtown LA.
The Bradbury Building is the oldest commercial building remaining in the central city and one of Los Angeles unique treasures. Behind its modest, mildly Romanesque exterior lies a magical light-filled Victorian court that rises almost fifty feet with open cage elevators, marble stairs, and ornate iron railings. It is also an often used location for movies and is most widely know for the film Bladerunner.
This original fine art photographic print by former celebrity producer and LA-based British ex-pat photographic artist Toula Mavridou-Messer, is featured in her 'Americana' Collection and is available for immediate purchase to art lovers and art buyers from around the world.
As you can see, this bold and colourful image is extremely powerful with it's clean and defined lines, retaining a strong sense of fun and an element of kitsch even though the subject matter in itself is quite simple.
Toula Mavridou-Messer, inspired by many areas of popular culture and artists from varied areas of the visual arts, such as the 'pop art' movement, artists including Andy Warhol, Dada, Pablo Picasso, Man Ray, Lichenstein, Jasper Johns, Tom Weissman, Wayne Thiebaud and David Hockney, can see how her own art has been subconsciously and consciously imbued with hues of those who have gone before and hopes that is seen as an homage to them all.
Growing up watching films made by talented names such as Pedro Almodovar and even Walt Disney have had a profound effect on how she sees the world, with every day objects and vistas being brought to life in an animated and lively way.
Her uncle, a mosaic artist often commissioned by the Vatican and other major places of worship around the world, showed her that being an artist can be a valid way of life and so having started out studying sculpture, Toula Mavridou-Messer realised early on that what captured her eye and imagination was the negative space all around her and not necessarily the 'subject' in and of itself, which is a theme throughout her work, which is now captured via a camera lens.
If you wish to buy this image, prints are available in sizes starting at 16 x 12 inches. You will then have the choice of having it printed on fine art paper, photo paper or canvas.
As the majority of images have been captured in the RAW format, if you would like to have a larger version than is currently available, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
Thank you so much for stopping by. It really is appreciated.
