Oak Trees At Sunrise

A beautiful blue and pink and gold
sunrise sky and light cirrus clouds
hang over Jekyll Island Georgia
on the southern coast.
This is one of the small ocean parks
just south of the Driftwood Beach
where the old oak trees
still stand on the edge of the sand.
The salty breeze blows continuously
over this wide beach,
shifting the sands
and bending the huge trees.
This image was captured
on an early spring morning,
just after the sun
crested the horizon,
a slight chill lingering
in the salty air,
a perfect beginning
to enjoy the beauty
of this natural unspoiled island...
