Ocean Grove, New Jersey is a small seaside town with streets full of early 19th Century Victorian homes. The colorful houses with intricate trim are known as Painted Ladies or Gingerbread Houses, and seem to fit with the bright coastal environment. Ocean Grove was founded by Methodists in 1869 as part of the camp meeting movement sweeping the U.S.A at the time.
