John, thank you so much for your comments and promotion. It was one of those days that could take your breath away. One day I will live near the beach.

Like the sandy beach, the rolling waves, and the ominous looking clouds overhead, as the three element blend well together, Arlene! fave and vote

Arlene, Great capture of this great scene from the beach. I am a big fan of the large waves at Jones Beach with the white water crashing down and like you we get the signals from the lifeguards that the riptides are to strong and to stay close to shore or get out, I have some of my beach sands in my gallery from the beaches. I love how you have captured this shot straight on, and with all of the fantastic white water showing the riptide's strenght. Excellent sky shot also and this photo has remarkable clarity to it. Excellent photo, voted, google and FB promoted and chosen as my Pay It Forward in the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group
