Thank you! There is something about firing one up, and the soft dancing light that does conjure up the past, you are so right, and I think that is why I love them, too. I have a side of me that is old fashioned and could live happily in austere Shaker style Thank you:)

:-) it reminds me when I was a kid and with my family were spending the summer holiday in a house in the mountain, no electricity, just the light of an oil lamp.....Rodin was doing his sculpture using just a candle/oil lamp....I like the shifting of the shape of the lamp...like in the fish bowl you did....it suggests the concept of illusion....
