Description
These doors belonged to the Old Firehall in downtown Toronto, located at 110 Lombard Street. Many Torontonians will remember the building as the longtime home of the Second City comedy troupe, and for its bright red arched doorways and distinctive Romanesque features.
The building was constructed in 1896 and partially destroyed in the Great Fire of 1904.
The impressive building recently found new life as a centre where 160 staff and students can pursue the finer points of cosmetics or and cosmetology, as part of Complections College of Makeup Art and Design -2012.
I was lucky enough to capture these doors before the transformation.

I'm quite a fan of pops of red. I have a few photos similar to this but your eye saw it differently than mine. You have inspired me to rethink my angles. I will definitely add this to my favorites.
