Description
"Old Locomotive No.90 Two" by Thom Zehrfeld
Thank you for visiting my fine art photography site! Old Locomotive Number 90 sits in a railroad yard in Garibaldi, Oregon on the Northern Oregon Coast.
A steam locomotive produces power through a steam engine. They are fueled by burning combustible material, typically coal, wood, or oil to produce steam in a boiler.
The town of Garibaldi is located not far from Tillamook. They also feature Pullman cars and have a working railroad station.
You can step back in time and enjoy the beautiful Oregon Coast by riding the rail behind a historic and nostalgic steam locomotive like Number 90. The excursion goes along Tillamook Bay with a unique view of the Oregon Coast and the Nehalem River Canyon.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.
