Hi John, Thanks for comment. My favourites in your work are the virgin mary, jesus christ and the old man. I found that the less detail you used the more finer the work was. I liked the way you used light and shade on the old man, that is what has made the eyes dominant and alive. jesus's mouth was too well defined. I did like the fine detail in the small soldiers though, yo are very observant. if you are doing this at 13 imagine what you are capable of! Good Luck.

Nice Piece of work John, some people are good at fine detail, others capture life environments like L S Lowry, while others capture color, and also many capture shape and texture. Lots of room to expand your great affinity with creativity. I Started my life as a fabricator of metal , then became a Designer ,Draughtsman and Engineer.Good luck with your future work. Wishing You Well . Regards Mike Geraghty

John, I quite like the expression in the old man's eyes...like a peep into the current from past loaded with life & wisdom. The moustache, the face, overall it is a very impressive work ( I seem to like old people a lot, these days)... You must know that my wife too has liked your works quite a lot

Hello, John! Thank you for the comment on my work! I am very impressed with all your drawings! The eyes on this old man speak volumes. Keep it up! I will look forward to seeing more. P.S. - Yes, I did create the orchids on her fan by first shading, then drawing them in with an eraser. Then I shaded on top of what I erased in the darker folds of the fan so that they would give the impression of following the folds. :)
