Painting - Colored Pencil
When I saw this kid I knew I needed to draw him....the problem is that I never thought about the trouble a ginger would give the likes of a color blind artist such as myself. Reds are not my strong suit and color theory, for me, is heavy on the theory. My first "Tada" moment ended with a good friend suggesting that I tool it around a bit to tone down the freckles. I believe the descriptor: "blood splatter" was used.....Needless to say I did retool and learned a valuable lesson about how the rest of you perceive the freckled and the color red.
