These two bald eagles, sometimes known as the American Eagle, are perched above the Colorado River, near Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado. The leaves are changing color as the fall season continues the two eagles stay on alert looking for food or predators. The bald eagle is protected by law and is the symbol of America's freedom. Bald eagles are believed to be paired for life, the female being the larger of the twosome.
