Drawing - Oil Pastels On Paper
One of my early chequer-pattern works, when I was still working mostly with straight lines, and still used lines that terminated inside the picture, but this is my most successful piece in that early style. It is a simple but well balanced composition, having a certain glow of positive energy. I don't know anything about art therapy, but I am sure that an art therapist might have had something more esoteric to say about it.
What I do know is that looking at the yellow-orange glow of a sunset produces natural anti-depressants in the human brain. Perhaps looking at pictures with the same colours for long enough might have at least partly the same effect?
