One of our favorite Thousand Trails Preserves is in Pacific City, Oregon. We can cross the road from the campground, on a path that passes through a beautiful grove of trees, and emerge on a beautiful Sandy Beach.

The Oregon coastline is the setting of the 105-acre Pacific City preserve, which sits amid towering spruce trees overlooking the ocean.
The beach and Cape Kiwanda sand dunes are within walking distance. Here, beachcombing, hiking, sight-seeing, fishing, as well as clamming and crabbing abound.

Scenic drives take you past Cape Meares Lighthouse, the Dory Fleet and Tillamook, a major recreation area. When you visit Tillamook, make sure to go to the Tillamook Dairy/Cheese Factory. If you have never had Tillamook Cheese or Ice Cream, you are really in for treat.
