Description:

One of a series of paintings created as part of an exploration into the painting process. The pieces in this group were done on site at a variety of public venues in a very spontaneous manner, just using the stimuli of the environment to prompt the image and pace. I would go relatively unprepared, like a clean slate, and just filter the place, people, music, and activity to trigger an uninhibited flow, just for the joy of the activity of painting itself. Very energetic and dynamic to complete, and quite fun. Available by request are the quick preliminary sketches and journal notes that document the details of the specific event.
