Description:

Out of the Box series presents Middle Class African Americans based on photos assemble bu W.E.B. Du Bois to combat racism. The photos were shown during the Paris Exposition in 1900. I decided to paint them as a reminder that these people existed in 1900 and thet we still have a ways to go regarding the racism issue.
