Description:

Part of a series showing middle class African Americans from 1900 when they were shown during the Paris Exposition to fight racism. Didn't work, then, so I thought I would re-introduce the subjects as paintings on boxes,that thrust the paintings forward into our consciousness, I hope, and point out that it has been over100 years and change is slow.
