You've managed to feature the entire spectrum, Nadine and Bob, in one of nature's most majestic monuments. The colors lead the eye, one to the other, in a swirling dervish dance of the senses. v.

Many times photos of paintings will be quite a ways off in a photograph. Cameras will adjust different colors depending on the lighting conditions and ability of the camera. In Post Processing a lot of compensation can be done. But the majority even those who have a lot of experience with Photoshop, will try to adjust ALL COLORS at the same time. That can not be accurately done, for when you change any one color in the entire painting, it changes the colors all over the painting. Say if you have a Yellow. You adjust adding more blue, it also makes the Yellow bluish, maybe quite a bit bluer. Capture say a section of a mountain, with just one main color. Adjust color in that section, contrast, density, etc. Adjust the black (all colors contain more or less black in photos.) When you get what you want in one area then adjust another, etc. You can make each one looks as close to the original as possible, separately. If the owner uses AUTOMATIC to process the image, it can change colors, density, contrast range, etc.... all at once and the result can mean the painting looks nothing like the original. Sometimes Ive been known to spend two to five hours working on just one photo or photo copy of a painting, to get what we want. At times have spent as much time creating a photo copy of a painting, as I did to paint the original Painting.9
