you really have a gift for capturing those special and rare moments .. when people are lost in thought.. reminscing.. wether good or bad memories.. who knows..... f/v :)
Michel Verhoef replied:
Yep...a big smiling face is not very interesting to me...when I want to photograph it of course...lol. Thanks for your knowledge and insights !

These thoughts might be very deep! About unsatisfaction, about a tough remembering...I am sure this human being knows and recognizes it! Great every-day-moment of a single life! We all know these moments, I am sure!
Michel Verhoef replied:
We do yes, and she might be even enjoying her wine...we will never know :) thank Nicole !

story aside in the imagery, michel, the theme of paraleel line grids and repetition of them is sensational!! vote

This is a wonderful image and unlike almost anything I can think of off the top. The posture, expression and surroundings tell a story that will be different for each viewer. V/F and featured in Street Photography.

Hi Michel! I'm back! Just checking out your latest postings! THIS is great! I was just telling others about an article I read in the Globe and Mail lately. They held a photography contest and received billions of entries. However, they awarded no prizes! They said none of the photos told a story, and that that is what photography is all about! Well! You should have entered! ALL of your photos tell a story! That's what I love about them! Now this one here...my mind just wants to fill in the story of this woman...such an intriguing mix of gender...and the cigarettes and masculine appearance combined with the Swarovski shopping bag! Wonderful!!!!!!!!! Love it! V/F

Thanks Darla...your penny thoughts are worth at least a dollar :))) I hope for her that she would be fitting the white dress...she might have to bring some scissors too....lol...

Another provocative capture with plenty room for interesting conversation! Enjoy that! My penny thoughts...she is amused with the outfit of the lady in the reflection....bantering thoughts on where did she get that and maybe she will try it on if she could find it...lol! I'm thinking that is one big watch she is wearing and she should utilize it well! Purchased Swarvorski so she has something good going on in life! Excellent image with wonderful dynamics, Michel!

Thanks Lianne for these warming words....it's an image about society, consumption.....comfort...maybe..

Grand title for a great capture - leaves one wondering about gender as others have noted. Fascinating human interest piece. F/V

Another photo of a person who is a weird mix of masculine and feminine. This one is mostly masculine. Nice clarity inside the building and the reflection. It seems she would be happy having bought some beautiful crystal but not so much. Nice capture!

Maybe you are right...did you see what she is looking at in the reflection ?.....thanks a lot ! :)) dear Jen

Interestingly organized the space here, SHE is a center surrounded by the reflective glasses thats about great eye for composition...About my thoughts still HE or SHE - according to Svarovski its a female but everything in her look is so masculine except the tired feminine eyes... Great slice if life once again, dear Michel..
