I love your unique way to do digital art, and this one is just another proof of that you know what you'r doing. This piece is beyond words, got great colors, structure/texture or how to say about the smokey light soft "thingy"?.......as I said beyond words.....one thing though - I love it.

Excellent work Karin !!. Realy like the translucency of the spiral . I have seen an awful lot of fractal work, but this one is very different.

Awesome Karen! How long does it take you to create something like this? I know it's different with each piece but just an idea? Amazing work and if I am not mistaken, you probably can't see it until you hit the button on your computer? One stage at a time?

Thanks to you all! Very much appreciated. This fractal was done with Apophysis and Ultra Fractal. That means I first generated the spiral in Apophysis and then I exported it to Ultra Fractal. UF allows to work with several transparent layers and to blend it together. Both programs provide a wide range of creative means like coloring, shaping, mapping, merging, resizing only to mention a few and I have at every time the ful control on how it will look. Drawing by algorithm depends widely on coincidence. However the generating and selecting of dynamic organic forms, their editing and colouring depends on the abilities and the imagination of the artist. Mathematical art is - although it seems to be a contradiction in terms - a very intuitive and individual kind of work.
