Description
Circa 1950s, this old telephone is housed in a wooden box with instructions _Lift Lid to Make A Call_. The receiver is on the outside, the dial and bells on the inside. Although it sports a U.S. Area Code and 7-digit number, this phone is still a far cry from what we have today.

Congratulations Kae! Your astonishing image represents the spirit of the group Electronics And Mechanics that I want to convey! I really like the components with wires and the buzzer solenoid as well. There is a thank you thread on the discussions tab if you would like to archive it there.

So what exactly is this, Kae LOL Great image! and the sepia tones work well for it. My mother would be quite annoyed to know this is considered antique LOL v1
Kae Cheatham replied:
Yes, Niki, I am annoyed that it's an antique..But then I recall when numbers were only five digit, and an area code was future stuff. Thanks for stopping and taking time to comment.
