I like this. The bench alone in a field waiting - the simplicity of this scene is deceptive as it works the imagination. V/F!!!

I would love to sit and do art at this table! It looks so amazingly peaceful :) Very nice shot!

Brittany, Fantastic job of taking of taking something as simple as a table and making into this photograph that you cannot take your eyes off of. I love the sky with its detail and clarity in the background and in the foreground I am so glad you did not think of deleting the grass that covers a small portion of the bench, it makes such a great impression on the whole photo. Like bringing together a beautiful landscape with a gorgeous sky shot with the table acting as the medium. Great job. VOTED

Thank you everyone! This place is amazing, it's like stepping back in time! I am so happy that you all see what I wanted to capture. It's Peace at it's finest, a place where all you can hear is wind.

Nicely chosen subject matter with a lively balance between the upper and lower halves of photo; earth pushing up into sky and sky descending to meet it in a nearly Yin Yang sort of motion... to draw the eye directly to this enigmatic table in the middle of nowhere. But wait. It didn't just spring out of nothingness into being-- there; someone placed it there. It isn't "Nowhere". And, whoever did this must have had in mind escaping the mundane and quotidian and enjoying a meal in this wide open and remote place. In deed, this vast wilderness is itself a feast for all of the senses... except, perhaps, those with a yen for cold chicken, fruit, bread and a beverage. You have captured the dry brittle texture of the grasses, the almost fluid roll of the hills, the cool blue openess of the sky and the wooden solidity of the table quite tangibly. This photo "takes us somewhere away from where we are" as all good art should. V

Thank you Charlie for your kind words! You have grasped the feeling that I had at the moment I took this. You gave me goose bumps when I read that. Thank you again!

Brittany, the sky is so blue a great contrast to the grass and hills and the picnic table. I love this shot it has an aire of peace and quite maybe the sound of a gentle wind and some birds. If I passed by I would sit down at it and just enjoy the quiet. Voted

I thought it was just crazy that there was a picnic table out in the middle of no-where... but you did a really fine job of capturing it.... such solitude... so peaceful! ~v~ =)
