Description
"Ping-Pong Tree Sponge" Chodrocladia lampadiglobus. It is a carnivorous animal of the deep. Very weird and rarely seen, an amazing creation that only deep sea divers like Claire Nouvian get the privilege to see. Only 50 prints of this will ever be made, so when this hits 50 sales I will pull this item.
Original 12x12 Acrylic on Canvas
From Reference photo by Claire Nouvian whose photographs are used in the amazing book "The Deep", used with permission from MBARI. (Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute)
