Description
There are many types of wild asters and they can be difficult to identify. They are generally autumn blooming plants, and the colors in our area range from white to deep purple. They enjoy waste places with good sunlight and often are growing in the company of goldenrod which creates a great color contrast.
This picture was taken September 29, 2011, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
