Nafplio is a city on the Argolic Gulf in the northeastern portion of the Peloponnese in Greece. It is on a peninsula that juts out into the gulf and is surrounded by beautiful blue water. Acronauplia (or Acronafplia) is the old part of town that is mainly on the peninsula. There are very old fortifications out on Acronafplia.
This photo shows the Constitution Square (Plateia Syntagmatos) in the downtown area of old Nafplio right at sunset.
