Poconos Gentle Stream
While on vacation this past summer in the Poconos, located in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania in the mountains. I was driving back to our hotel when I saw off the side of the road this quiet, serene, gentle stream running under a wooden bridge. At first I was going to take a photo from a top the bridge but then I decided to go down and walk into the water and for someone that has been fishing all of their life I forgot the first rule and that is watch out for large rocks in the water as they attract algae and will become slippery. Well after almost doing three swan dives into this beautiful stream I got my footing and was able to capture this beautiful stream as the water flowed downstream cascading over the rocks and picking up speed and in certain areas causing small white rapids to form. Another great thing about the location I was able to photograph this scene from was how it had all of this great green shrubbery around it along with a nice sun light reflecting off of the stream. Another case of being able to be in the right place at the right time to catch a shot like this.
