Ponce De Leon Inlet Light 3
Photograph - Photograph
The Ponce de Leon Inlet Light is a lighthouse and museum located at Ponce de Leon Inlet in Central Florida. At 175 feet (53 m) in height, it is the tallest lighthouse in the state and one of the tallest in the United States (the Cape Hatteras Light in North Carolina is taller at 207 feet). It is located between St. Augustine Light and Cape Canaveral Light. Restored by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association, the lighthouse became a National Historic Landmark in 1998.
I have been an artist as long as I can remember. My specialty is Portraits and Pastels. I took years off from drawing knowing that one day I would return to doing what I love. I've said for many years that I wanted to retire and paint lighthouses. I have dreamed of going to the Outer Banks in NC and taking photos to work from. I made that trip for the first time in 2012 and we loved the Outer Banks so much we are planning on retiring there someday. I bought the cameras to capture images to paint from, and fell in love with photography. It has become a passion on its own. I love traveling and taking photos and hope to be a full-time photographer and artist in the near future. I love shooting weddings and private events.
