Description

Portofino is one of the most beautiful and romantic places in Italy, maybe in Europe.
Its coloured houses around the port form a very special scenary. As you can see there are many huge boats and ships in the harbour. There are even much bigger ships, cruise ships, that have to wait a bit outside on the sea and their passengers come with smaller boats for a visit.
The day I took this photo was a very hot (at least 100 F) and humid day. Later they said it was the hottest day of the year so far. We needed to walk uphill and I was drinking water all the time in order not to collapse. On top of the hill there is a wonderful church with a cemetary.
Also, there is a big wall from where you have this beautiful view over the harbour.
This view was worth all. :-)
By the way: we also walked along behind the houses on the opposite side.
All in all: if you ever have the chance to see Portofino-don't hesitate, just do it and you will be excited:-)
