Description:

That is Amy. Say hello to Amy. I needed some foreground so I put the model I had been using all day in the center of the frame. This has long been one of my favorite creations. It was taken in Berlin, Germany, a city that I found to be confused. The Wall had come down not so many years before and I think Berlin was still struggling to find an identity. Be that as it may, I think the addition of Amy in the foreground sets this image apart from the others of these much photographed buildings. It makes the image human, personal.
