Power Out A Collaboration With Eva Miller
Drawing - Ink, Crayon, And Colored Pencil On Paper
This is the third drawing in a project my 6-year-old granddaughter Eva and I have, to raise money for her school tuition. All of our profit from print sales will go to her first grade education. We made this drawing from June 7 to 10, 2011.
In it, our dog Libby brings the newspaper to Jimmy (Eva's grandfather, aka Poppy) who gives our cat Otis a newspaper rub, a daily ritual after Jimmy reads it. Eva's drawing and I'm doing yoga. These are all things you can do during a power out, which we had a short one of on June 7. We've had power outs that lasted many days, so we have all the candles, lanterns, etc, etc, to get us through. We just don't have a fancy generator!
