Hi Marlene: your site is a feast of colour, and the thumbnail for this one particularly beckoned to me---I've never been to Sedona, but love the flavours of the colours you've chosen---even though I usually prefer the colour scheme of your redheads' paintings (which I also really like). Thanks for your message-. Just wanted to say your avatar picture matches so well the lively, upbeat energy that you project in your discussion comments. With all good wishes, Lynn

Superb as usual Marlene! I like how this painting draws you in to those rich and vibrant colors -- the dark values are fantastic! . .....Joe

Well, I might as well hang up my knife! Absolutely lovely Marlene. Such lovely subtle colors, careful, cautious angles. The board-like form in foreground is worth the price of a painting -- well, more and quicker -- as is the lavender that seems to go to/from where the teeny man's head should be -- or am I writing about my own vision only? -- and that lavender, irregulary across the top of the "board" to cnclose the upper half of SW Sedona in block- to disappear under the light tourquise inner half while part of it disappears under the magenta highway and comes out still running due NE. I feel, as I ended up feeling about professors, that they just wrote a load of crap about something beautiful beyond words -- at best, deterriing, rather than enhancing it. Bad day here.
