Painting - Oil / Canvas
The architecture of a typical french medieval street in Provence area is part of the traditional architecture in the region of the Cote d' Azur that artists like Renoir, Van Gough and Matisse painted in the south of France.
Living in a northern climate that is usually grey and drab for a portion of the year makes me long for warmer and sunny climates and the Mediterranean coastline from Marseille to Menton near the Italian border of France offers some of the best quaint villages to paint. This corner in the town of Saint Tropez caught my eye for its warm colors and old world charm.
