Quietude Of Zen Meditation Room - Kyoto Japan
A Zen Meditation Room within the Daitoku-ji Zen Buddhism complex in Kyoto, Japan. On the left is an enclosed veranda with a garden outside. White rice paper Shoji Screens surround the room on three sides. On the floor are woven tatami mats where monks pray and meditate. Zen was the preferred religion of the Samurai feudal warriors. The complex was founded in the 14th century.
