Description
The most significant archeological discovery of the 20th century occurred in the late in1940s along the Dead Sea at Qumran. Multiple caves at Qumran yielded manuscripts collectively known as the Dead Sea Scrolls. Qumran's Cave #4, discovered by Bedouins in 1952, yielded the richest manuscript collection, leading archeologists to speculate it once served as a library or hidden archive. Almost 75% of the ancient manuscripts unearthed at Qumran from 1946-1956 were found inside Cave #4. The manuscripts discovered at Qumran represent the oldest texts of the Hebrew Bible (Christian Old Testament). Qumran represents one of the most important archeological discoveries in the 20th century.

Wonderful work to be featured in black and white. I like seeing all the layers or strata of the rocks.

You capture the stratification of these imposing formations, important testimony to the antiquity of the place
