Description
My florist friend saves blossoms for me that can no longer be sold. Usually it's because the flowers, such as these, have grown too old to sell and are beginning to drop their petals or wilt or droop or something like that. "What do I want those for?" is a question I am often asked. But I find special beauty in the aged and wrinkled petals. They luminesce like lightening bugs in the darkening summer sky. My job, my goal, my passion is to find that luminescence and grasp and hold and keep it forever in a picture that is burned into my mind. Of course I really like showing it to other people, too, in hopes they will remember the work as long as I will.
