If the artist had not titled this painting, "Rain in Manhattan", it could be any city of any size on raining day. It looks as if the rain is almost ended. It could be late afternoon with the sun in the background. This piece has a great univeral appeal. It suggest sense of peace and well being. On a very personal note it appeals to me because I live in a large city this scene is repeated often on rainy days. The artist states it is #18 in a series. Itwould be informative to see how #18 relates to the others. I think Mr. Hamilton is a great read of people and shows in this painting. danieldmiller@comcast.net

I really like this painting. It reminds me of Tae Park's work. Very nice and loose painting!
