Description:

A Raku pottery vase. It is crackle white and has copper and shades of dark blue in color, in the shape of a boot. I used thompson's water seal on the inside to waterproof the vase.I used the slab technique and hand formed the vase then fired outside in a 2000 degree kiln, taking the piece out while still red hot, I put into a metal can with dry leaves. The smoke and lack of oxygen then gives the pieces a metallic glaze.
