Description:

Chris Hawkins is based in the Tamar valley, Cornwall, England and specializes in copper matt Raku ceramics. He has developed his work from Stoneware, Earthenware and Chris� direct involvement in the firing and post firing reduction gives each piece of work it's uniqueness. He is fascinated with the labor intensive process and the various levels of control, which can produce such different results. The beautiful area surrounding his studio is rich in natural metals and minerals used in Chris� ceramics.
Chris has taught ceramics for nearly 30 years as well as creating his hugely popular work. He has exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the UK and has sold work in Harrods and Bloomingdales New York.
