Description
One of the best parts of Central Florida is that you can find great, out of the way places that allow you to connect again with nature. Located on the southern end of Narcossee Road, just north of St. Cloud, this park as most of what you need for a good afternoon. A big field to play and frolic - check. Pavilions to keep you in the shade and to have or prepare lunch - check.. A wooded area and hiking trails on which to stroll and check out wildlife - yep. Access to a body of water - why they have a boat launch area to get out onto Lake Toho. In the morning, the light coming up over the trees makes for a great view of the lake. There is also a playground for the kiddies and there is even a small farm (not associated with the park) that is near the entrance, where you can often see cows and even some goats.
If you are in the area, be sure to stop by the park, even if it is just to take a few breaths of air and to admire the scenery.
Unfortunately, right now the beach is closed due to a high bacteria count. Beaches will close when there is a high bacteria count for fear of amoebas.
