Description:

Entirely hand painted in the digital painting program, "Painter" using my Wacom drawing tablet. To me, this particular mandala has a very Middle Eastern feel to it, although others have stated that it evokes feelings of the American Southwest.

Various spiritual traditions use mandalas to help focus attention, for meditation, inducing a trance state, and as spiritual teaching tools. Carl Jung saw the mandala as "a representation of the unconscious self". He believed his mandala paintings helped him identify emotional disorders and work towards wholeness in personality.
