Remnants of Camp Allegheny (also known as Camp Johnson or Camp Baldwin) a Civil War Confederate fortification on the Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike located in what is Pocahontas County, West Virginia today. It is one of the best preserved Civil War camps. It sits on Buffalo Ridge at an elevation of 4,400 feet, with a clear view of Spruce Knob, West Virginia�s highest peak in the distance. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
