Reno Sharpe Store is located between Pittsboro and Goldston NC The store was built in the late 1800s and moved to its current location in 1920. Mr. Reno Sharpe took over the store\\\'s operation from his grandfather in the late 1940\\\'s and ran it until it closed for normal operation in 2003. Since that time, the store has opened its doors twice a month for old time string music jam session every first and third Saturday mornings. Since Mr. Sharpe\\\'s passing this last February, a non-profit organization, Sharpe Store Music, has been created to preserve the heritage of the store along with the old time string music. The prints are being sold to help raise monies to use to advance and benefit the store\\\'s planned improvements and future events. Plans include adding an outside stage, upgrading the store\\\'s wiring, plumbing, and eventually running water. Educational programs are also in the works and will promote the preservation of old time mountain and string music. For more information go to www.SharpeStoreMusic.org
