Description
The Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey was a man of vision and foresaw the difficulties that black people would continue to face. He was a man of Caribbean roots and therefore was my kin. His foresight, the boats, indicates that he felt that black people should make the effort to create their own opportunities for employment rather than hope to be employed. Hence the boats (Black Star Liner) and the Caribbean scene epitomize those sentiments of independence and self-sufficiency. David G. Wilson
