Rich Pears

Wonderfully brushworks with the beautiful color contrast! Love your still life work, Sheila! Inspiring!!!

Sheila, The colors are rich and inviting, and repeating the bright vivid colors used in the pears in the background helps draw the eye into the painting. I am also thinking that the first pear seems to lacks the roundness and curves of the others by the way the light area in the center is painted and blended into the rest of the colors, it looks flat there to me. I might also cast a shadow against the background colors. and consider doing the same to to the foreground area. to help that look more like a surface. like I said nice warm inviting colors. thank you for allow me to comment on you painting, I hope my comments are useful, have great day...
