A wonderful work on these sheep, Carolyn. Vote / Grey flash contest.

Carolyn Doe replied:

Wayne, thank you for the comment and the vote! cheers!

This is such a gorgeous painting with a wonderfully sparse palette. The texture of the sheep figures is so icy against the soft white, atmospheric background. I love it.

I am a fan........

Aloha Carolyn .. you are in the Dimensions group member spotlight :: your beautiful work of art is featured on the group homepage :: so lovely to see your imagery in the gallery .. you are welcome to add it to Square Format :: congratulations :)

Its wonderful to find where the other batik artists are here. I spin my own yarn and am a knitwear designer. so sheep mean alot to me. I appreciate your comments!

Carolyn, I'm enjoying your site! I enjoy this piece for it's watercolor feeling as well as the batik work. When I'm not doing my batik, I care for and milk sheep, so this has special meaning..

thank you, Helen!

Love this painting....sort of folk art in style. The colors are so rich and the moodiness is wonderful.
